In Case You Missed It...

Maybe you were locked in a tower, waiting for your hair to grow out...
Maybe you were battling trolls, or forcing glass slippers onto the feet of strangers...
Or maybe it was something else.
For whatever reason, you missed Fairy Tale Fortnight last year or just don't remember it as well as you'd like to.  Well, you can check out errything that happened right here, but if you don't want to go through all that, here are some of my favorite bits from last year:

*Meghan Nuttall Sayres sponsored a giveaway in which contestants had to guess where this carriage came from (answer: Iran)

*Ashley discussed "Forgiving Fairy Tales"

*I went old skool and discussed Jon Sciezka's fractured fairy tales.

*I shared a couple of original pieces that I had written for my creative writing class a few years ago (proving yes, I am a dork, and no, the fairy tale obsession is nothing new...)
Short Story - A Kiss
Poem - The Little Red Shoes

*I also shared my favorite poems (you know, ones I didn't write) that are fairy tale-esque (they're so good!!)

* We had an exclusive fairy tale themed fashion editorial from DoublClik.

*I did a really fun comparative review called Failed It or Nailed It, focusing on different retellings of East of the Sun, West of the Moon.

*Ashley and I featured exclusive artwork from the middle grade debut Juniper Berry.

*I made a fool of myself reading in a really over the top french accent (frenchish?  A little Russian, maybe?) for a teaser of Alex Flinn's Cloaked.

*Villains, Heroes and Heroines faced off in our first FTF FFO.

*A lot of awesome people got together to record a community bedtime story - Little Red Riding Hood

*Oh, and we interviewed all of these awesome people:
(Dude. These pictures are all totally clickable. Try it - just see if it doesn't take you to an awesome interview =D )

And that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Yeah.  It rocked.
