More Austen Retellings Than You Can Shake a Stick At...

This month has flown by! We've made it to the final day of #AustenInAugust 2019, and I feel like there's still so much more to say!
10 years on, and my love of Jane Austen (and all things related, including JAFF, or Jane Austen fanfic) is showing no signs of slowing down.

And to that end, here's a look at a handful (and a half) of JAFF books I've read recently, most of which are out now, and some of which you'll be able to get your hands on soon(ish). Let me know your thoughts -- and your recommendations! -- in the comments!

And make sure to check out the full Austen in August schedule for more Austen goodies and giveaways!

BOOKS MENTIONED:

Mr Darcy's Pledge
Mr Darcy's Challenge
His Good Opinion
Dangerous Alliance
Snowbound at Hartfield
Inspiration
The Jane Austen Society
Rational Creatures

Jane Austen, Austen in August, blog event, Jane Austen fan fiction, JAFF, The Book Rat, BookRatMisty

  1. LOL, I might have read some books in the past and didn't keep track of them.

Yes, I did read the first three on your list, Jane Austen Society, and Rational Creatures. I am now super curious to read Jennieke's book and I enjoy Maria Grace's, but still need to read those particular ones.

Loved getting your thoughts on them.

Can't believe we're at the end of AIA. You did such an amazing job pulling it all together. :) Thank you for that.

  3. I loved Rational Creatures. I haven't read Inspiration, Snowbound at Hartfield and His Good Opinion, but I love Maria's books and they are on my TBR list.

  4. I listened to the audio of Rational Creatures last month. It was my third collection put together by that editor and each one was better than the last. Some of my very favorite authors all bundled into one anthology!
