  1. Apparently I need to read And Tango Makes Three... I think my kids would like it! And maybe help me explain Uncle Jay & Uncle Linus... because I was at a loss with all the questions that came up!!! haha!!!

    Isn't it AMAZING how they ban the books that are realistic to actual teenage behavior???

  2. Of course I had to go and look at the list and the links for past years. So Mark Twain is still getting nailed for writing a racist book 120 years ago, and the same with To Kill a Mockingbird 50 years later. Huh, I would have figured that by now it is what it is.... live with it.

    I'd be interested to know more about how these challenges to certain books come up, and the criteria for getting on the list. I'll have to read up on book banning.

    Maybe I'm not reading right, but I don't remember anything in the Hunger Games or Twilight that was 'sexually explicit,' 'violent' yes, I'll give them that.

    Well, it looks like I have to books to add to my to be read list. Thanks for the post, interesting as always!
