IMM: 4/3/11

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren, of course!

Didn't have time to record a vlog this week, but here's what I got.  None of it actually came in my mailbox this week: these are all library books!

It's a rare week that I don't receive something I bought.  I'm kinda proud of myself.

Of course, I'm also kinda broke, so that helped...
(Damn shiny new eyeballz)

I got:

For Fairy Tale Fortnight, of course.  TWO WEEKS!!!
There's a fortnight 'til our Fortnight! ;P
I blame this entirely on Ksenia.
She had a post a few days ago with a bunch of graphic novels, and I've been craving some,
and a few of the ones she posted looked great.
THEN, she marked this as currently reading on Goodreads,
and it seemed like exactly what I was in the mood for.
So I picked it up!
For Jane in June, of course.  :)
Again, for JnJ.
I'm thinking, a little more in the way of pictures of zombie awesomeness,
and a little less in the way of SGS's writing
might improve my opinion of this mash-up.
O_o
For my book club.  Lovely Evie picked this one up at ALA when we went,
and since she liked it, we added it to the book club rotation.
And look at the pretty...

What'd you get in your mailbox?

  1. I have all of these except Castle Waiting on my owned TBR pile. I'm very curious as to how you'll wind up liking Other, it seems as though everyone else loves it so far.

  3. Castle Waiting, yay! I'm halfway through it and am slowly remembering all the little details from when I first read it...three years ago. Eeek! It is such an odd and quirky story. But I love it! Can't wait to see what *you* think of it. No one else I know has read it. So glad your library had it.

  5. Castle waiting ROCKS! There's a volume 2 out btw, which is just as thick and just as awesome! :) Your post reminds me that I need to start working on getting through Fables again for Fairy Tale Fortnight.

  6. lol @ Kristen. I did see that there was a 2nd volume, but I think I have to request it out of county. Not sure. Won't be an issue, but it won't be immediate, either.

Ksenia: I think I'm going to read it this coming week. I'll let you know.

BrittLit: YOU HAVE NO IDEA! SO MANY BOOKS!

  7. I loved Other-- it's a really fun read, and yes, so PRETTY. Haven't read Beastly yet, but need to for the Fortnight! Happy reading! :)
