I need some help...

...and not in the mental way, either (this time. Yuck it up).
I have acquired a fair few books lately that have been just piling up, and I want to try to read at least 60% books I own this year, to try to get the ridiculous tbr list down, so...

What should I read? I am going to pull a little stack of the lovelies that are calling my name the loudest, and I would like you to give me a push in 1 direction, if you please. If you've read one and loved it, say so. If it was just kinda meh... tell me not to waste my time. These books are pulling me in different directions, and I'm out of limbs, so help!

So, what'll it be?

  4. I really liked Hush, Hush. Fallen not so much I've been reading it for over a week and still haven't finished it. The others I haven't read but Leviathan sounds good.

  5. Hm, I liked Hush Hush, and Fallen was sort of meh, okay. I really want to read Leviathan and Immortal though! Happy reading. :)

  8. You MUST MUST MUST read Paper Towns and Leviathan. HUSH, HUSH and FALLEN both were really bad so skip them.

  9. 1st-sign up for my challenge-Bottom's Up. Then I can feature you-I am going to do a post on all the people who joined.

    2nd-read Leviathan. I heard it's great.

My advice-I would wait for the second books to come out or at least get closer before you read Hush or Fallen. They both leave you wanting and then you won't have to wait so long.

Immortal looks good, never heard of the other two.

  13. Hush, Hush and then Leviathan. Fallen and Paper Towns weren't really worth it at all.

  14. I've read Hush Hush, Leviathan and haven't been able to finish Fallen. So my recommendations are

Hush Hush and Leviathan should go to the top. Big favorites of mine...and Fallen should 'fall' to the bottom.

  15. Do not read Fallen right now - it's a bit.. slow..

If you want.. hot guys and paranormal elements - go for Hush Hush

If you want Steampunk Adventure - go for Leviathan

And if you want something that is just plain awesome and realistic... Paper Towns

I know it seems like I made three suggestions.. but well.. I just told you which three are AWESOME and that you should read them when in THOSE moods above...

    Yep...

    Not breakin' the rules.. nope.

  16. The only book I've read of that list is Fallen, and I have to agree with everybody who said it was just meh. It has great cover art. I just wish the inside matched the outside...

  18. The only book I've read is Hush, Hush. My thoughts would be to read Hush, Hush and Leviathin and save Immortal and Fallen for later. . .if you have time, read the sweeteness at the bottom of the pie and the john green one.
    That's just how I would do it. . .
    That's

  19. I just won Fallen from a blog and am looking forward to reading it.

The only one of those I've read is The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and it was not one of my favorite books from last year. I know the second one either just came out or is coming out soon but I'm not going to continue with the series. I just couldn't get into it.

  20. Fallen was great, but Hush, Hush was absolutley amazing! It was fantastic! I say Hush, Hush first, Fallen second! I haven't read any of the others.

  29. Wow. You guys aren't playing around, are you? So much passion.
I was expecting a lot of comments on Fallen and Hush, Hush, but I wasn't expecting such a big push for Leviathan. I needed it, too. I was so excited to get it, and I started it once already, all geeked and ready to go (Scott Westerfeld? Alt history? Steampunk? I was so in.), but when I started, I just wasn't feeling it. It's written at a younger level than I was expecting. I ended up putting it down to read Soulless (SUCH a good choice). Might have to reconsider and pick it back up.
And just to clarify, I own ALL of these books, so they all will get read at some point...

  30. @Misty, I hear good things about Soulless, I should get around to reading it. *puts it on to-read list*

btw haz blog award for you here =D
