Bloggiesta

I've been keeping my eye on a little something called Bloggiesta, but I wasn't sure how much time I was going to have to devote to it. Then I thought, why the hell not just go for it? I have things that need doing, might as well do them in bloggerhood with my blogpeeps, no?

Bloggiesta: Pedro Happening right now, Bloggiesta is a chance to cross off those niggling to-do blog items.
From Maw Books' site:

Some of you may be asking what is Bloggiesta? In short, it’s a blogging marathon. A opportunity to cross those nagging items off of your to-do list and improve your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two!

What to do during the Bloggiesta?

I intend to devote at least 12 hours, possibly more, on:
  • writing up reviews I've been putting off (before I have to reread the damn books to write them)
  • scheduling my posts in advance in case of any more internet snafus
  • coming up with some author interview questions and asking said authors to consent to be interviewed. ;)
  • writing up some author spotlights
  • spotlights on some of my fave bloggers, as well as a little push for those who I think should be followed
  • playing around with the idea of a blog button
  • creating templates
  • fleshing out ideas for a meme or two and getting things lined up for them
  • revisiting buddies' blogs and catching up on what I missed while I was away
  • figuring out my next contest -- I think I know what it's going to be, but I have to get my ducks in order
  • getting together my bookish swag and making a list of ideas of things to gather for swag packs
  • Emailing. I have so much emailing to do, it's insane
  • Figuring out a tentative schedule for the year ahead. There are some challenges I want to look over, and some things I've been invited to be a part of, and I need to get them into my calendar and into my brain
  • whatever else comes up during the course of all that↑
