June TBR & Stack of Five voting!

Alrighty, SO: expect an more formal announcement than this soon, but basically, I've decided to once again move Jane in June to later in the summer, so we will be having Austen in August again this year. Lots of reasons, and I'll get into that later, but basically, since it's being moved, I have time to read some other things I didn't think I was going to have time for - though since this is a last minute change, I can't say for sure that this is what I'll absolutely be reading, though here is what I'm planning:

A Matter of Days
Boy Nobody
Thorn Abbey
various Jane Austen adaptations, potentially including
Sass & Serendipity
There Must Be Murder
and/or the A Tale of Less P&P Continues series
AND whichever book wins this: http://youtu.be/Z1SbMKto3ao

ALSO, I don't normally share my monthly Stack of Five videos on the blog, for a couple of reasons. 1) I normally post my TBR along with my Rewind from the previous month, and 3 videos in one post on a regular basis is just too damn much. 2) Leaving it in one place seemed a good way to keep the voting contained.
BUT, because I don't want those of you who are blog readers only to miss out on the chance to have input, and because it's really not all that hard to count votes in 2 places, I figured, why not. So this month, at least, I'll be sharing my Stack of 5 video and allowing voting here as well.

If you're unfamiliar, it's all explained in the video; just vote in the comments for the one you want to win!
And feel free to do your own stack of 5 & leave a link in the comments! (Seriously - I love seeing them, and my democratic soul   l  o  v  e  s   voting!)

Hex Hall | Rachel Hawkins
Forgiven | Jana Oliver
Liar's Moon | Elizabeth C. Bunce
Slide | Jill Hathaway
Book of Shadows | Cate Tiernan

  1. They all sound so good! I'll have to go with Hex Hall; the premise sounds really appealing.

  2. Oooh, I LOVE the idea of a compare/contrast video for Rebecca and Thorn Abbey!

Also I'm totally torn on Stack of 5 vote because I really loved Elizabeth C. Bunce's A Curse Dark as Gold, but since I've actually read Hex Hall I really have to vote for it because I think it's MORE fun than School Spirits was, and that you'll really dig it!

  3. Judging from the votes on YT, Hex Hall is going to win, hands down.

But have you read StarCrossed, Heidi? Because as much as I loved A Curse Dark as Gold (and I really, really did), I LOVED StarCrossed. I thought Curse fell apart a bit at the end, but SC was awesome all the way through, and Digger is one of my fave narrators.

  4. Hex Hall to me was just okay, though I believe most people really loved it. Knowing that you are particular about your books, I would say uugh!
You know what? I didn't like Jana Oliver's series but if you liked it I'd continue with it.
I think you should try Cate Tiernan's book. I liked her other books!

  5. So I loved Hex Hall its really good I am going to vote that one. But I have to say that I recently read Liar's Moon and I loved it so much, it is even better than Star cursed so you should defiantly still read it!!!

Tell me all your thoughts.
Let's be best friends.
