If the Glass Slipper Fits... Disney Princesses & the Perfect Shoe — guest post from Beth!

You guys know I love pulling fashion into the mix when I can. Besides being fun to zone out and pretend shop for things I will never, ever buy because I'm poor, it's so fun to picture characters in a real-life setting, and to use their written/animated "personalities" and extend them into the rest of their "lives"... which is why I'm pleased to welcome Beth to the blog today, to pair up some beloved Disney characters with their perfect shoe! Beyond being super fun, it TOTALLY FITS the fairy tale realm. Shoes are kind of a big deal, y'all.

So take a look below, and then let us know how you think Beth did, and/or your picks in the comments!

So Misty & Bonnie are hosting Fairytale Fortnight again this year. And if there's one thing I adore, it's fairytales (or fairytale retellings). Clearly...my second eyeshadow collection* was inspired by them!

Because I love color and princesses (don't judge me), I begged offered to compile a list of heels that would compliment specific Disney princesses. This is pic-heavy, but hopefully inspires the same awe and whimsy that these magic-tinged young women have, for generations.

Which ones do you think work? Which ones not so much? Did I leave out your favorite (or a notable) Disney gal?

*Note from Misty: I'll be telling you guys all about these fairy tale shadows soon!!

  6. Most of these are so spot-on!
Loving the Anna boots. They are so completely her.
LOLing that Aurora's shoes look like they caught got in the color fight between Flora and Merryweather.
Belle and Cinderella? Perfection. Esmeralda and Jasmine? Wow.
Watch those weak ankles in those heels, Meg!
And Merida's...can I just own them? (Whereas Tinkerbell's, I'd probably never wear -- I'd just get a kick out of staring at them. XD )

  9. I ADORE this post! And I can't even wear heels… (at least, not without resulting in injury of either myself or someone nearby. ^^) I think Belle's and Jane's shoes are my favorite, but all of them are such fun! Jane's feel a titch steampunk-esk to me- which would actually be an awesome retelling angle. 0.0 Thanks for sharing!
