  1. I used to sneak Goosebumps books home from my grade school in my backpack. My mother didn't want me reading them because she was scared I'd have nightmares (and she was right...)

Hater sounds like an awesome book. I haven't heard of it before now, but that whole paranoia and doubt thing that you mentioned caught my interest!

  2. And yes! The Devouring is so creepy! Or at least it scared the bejeesus out of me two years ago when I first read it. Haven't read the sequels yet, but I just ordered the second book!

  3. I think I'm going to have to go get Coraline now. I've seen the animated movie and loved it but since you've been showing me those creepy pictures, I need to get the books!

I talked about some of my favorite scary books (though a lot of them are the same as last week) and some of my favorite horrifying scenes in books.

  4. I love David Moody. The Autumn series is creepy and fabulous. I so need to read Hater.

  5. I LOVE Stephen King and Dean Koontz, I was really sick and read Koontz's Your heart belongs to me. If I ever need an organ, I think I'll pass Holy Shit that scared me!

After reading 'Salem's Lot by King I had to sleep with the lights on.

  7. The creepiest book cover I've seen is The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff.
