I borrowed an ARC because so many people were raving about it, I figured I'd see if I believed them, but my expectations weren't very high. But yes! I agree about the characters feeling so incredibly real. Especially Josh and Rashmi (we all know couples like that) and Meredith. When I look back, I think what made me fall in love with this book was that it was real people that I could picture perfectly in a totally magical setting. And of course the humor.

K, I'm done gushing. I totally agree with everything you said -- this book just feels so authentic. It's weird how nothing happens and so much happens and you're enthralled no matter what. This is definitely preferable to a lot of paranormal romances where they are SOULMATES4EVA after one snarky encounter. Anna and Etienne seriously reminded me of my own high school love dramas. I'm sure we all had that one friend who mighttashouldacoulda been something more. And that's why it works.Casey (The Bookish Type)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17124722748517656056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2790614306320534072.post-82217972523276117402011-08-27T01:44:03.677-04:002011-08-27T01:44:03.677-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Casey (The Bookish Type)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17124722748517656056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2790614306320534072.post-1754240600512268562011-08-27T00:50:39.973-04:002011-08-27T00:50:39.973-04:00I'm glad you liked this book. I thought him and Anna were better off as friends. I am looking forward to Lola and the Boy Next Door though. I heard that one is pretty good as well.~Sara @ Just Another Storyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07870692977272702662noreply@blogger.com
