December TBR + quick November wrap-up

Heyyy, I'ma be super over-ambitious for a month as crazy as December, because why not?
I'm also giving you a quick wrap-up of what I read in November (I don't even know what happened... but judging by these first few days of December, I don't think it's over).
Keep an eye out this weekend for a review of 3 recent reads (1 I loved, 1 I liked, and 1 I had some serious issues with...)!

BOOKS MENTIONED:
a bunch of Courtney Milan books (I'll talk about these soon, maybe)

  1. LOL! You are the third person to really get into Courtney Milan books in November. I have a few on my Kindle and I think I should probably try her books for the first time in the new year after seeing you three loving on them. I get the drive to keep reading a certain series or author. I binged on one author back in September, Melinda Leigh's romantic suspenses and then caught up on a paranormal romantic comedy series in November by Ani Gonzalez.
You sure have some good ones on my TBR list. Can't wait to get your thoughts on them especially the Ransacker that you're craving. :)

  2. Better late than never here- YES PLEASE to a romance book chat. I really trust your book recs because we have similar taste on books. And I really struggle with romance as a genre- I've found a few good ones, and a lot of frustrating ones, and I would love recs to point me in the direction of more good ones. I hesitate to say I don't like romance, but I tend to say "it's not my genre", because it's so difficult for me to find ones that aren't, to me, bad. So, please- bring on the recs for a fellow cold, black heart reader. :D

I got *so little* reading done in December, and I am frustrated by it. Now I'm off work for 4-6 weeks, recovering from surgery, so in theory I should have a lot of TBR plans and get through tons of my shelves. Except that I had blurred vision for the first 3 days after surgery and now I'm so tired I keep re-reading the same page over and over again. I'm thinking my January TBR needs to be short novels I can blitz through (right now reading The Nightengale, which is a good historic fiction, and Wings of Fire, which is a very long dragon anthology, and listening to Invisible Girls, which is a depressing memoir). Or maybe some contemporaries or something.

Here's hoping your December TBR worked out with no pressure and continued great reads! :D
