  1. Yay for next week Tag Week, but boo for missing tags. :/

As far as poetry goes, I think what caught me as a teen was poetry that didn't rhyme, didn't deal with romance, and wasn't written by old dead white guys.I was pretty ignorant, thinking poetry was either sonnets or AB rhyme scheme, at that point. I didn't even know that limericks were technically considered poems. The world sort of opened up when I realized there were so many ways I could play with language and the reader/listener's expectation. Good luck with the class....and have fun!

After the Woods is intriguing me.....I hope you love it! Because then I'll get it for myself. ;)

  2. Someone else requested an excerpt of After the Woods, so likely get a feel for the style soon. =)

  3. I am all for a trend toward thrillers and suspense. I'm very curious about the Jane Austenish historical there.

That's cool that you get to guest for your friends poetry unit. That was and isn't my thing so no helpful words.

Very pretty palette from Cargo and I like the blue liner. Way to catch the sale so your points would go further.

    1. It was serendipitous! I had almost bought something a few days before to use up my points, but I was indecisive, so I waited, and then got the email about the customer appreciation sale, just 20 minutes or so before it ended!
