Cover Reveal: Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce!

I know we've discussed the change in the cover style for Jackson Pearce's Fairytale Retellings series, and I know we all wish we could see what Fathomless - and now Cold Spell - would have looked like with the old silhouette style.   But even if we are still a bit miffed about that, I don't think I'm alone when I say SNOW QUEEN OMG!
I remember Jackson mentioning this kind of idly in a youtube video a few years ago, and thinking, yes please! I love the Snow Queen, and just days prior had been saying I wished someone would do a retelling. (Of course, then the abso-freaking-fabulous Breadcrumbs came out, and assuaged my need for it - for awhile...).
Unfortunately this one won't be out in time for Fairy Tale Fortnight, but needless to say, I am eager for it. How about you guys? And what do you think of the cover?

Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce
(Fairytale Retellings #4)
Kai and Ginny grew up together–best friends since they could toddle around their building’s rooftop rose garden. Now they’re seventeen, and their relationship has developed into something sweeter, complete with stolen kisses and plans to someday run away together.

But one night, Kai disappears with a mysterious stranger named Mora–a beautiful girl with a dark past and a heart of ice. Refusing to be cast aside, Ginny goes after them and is thrust into a world she never imagined, one filled with monsters and thieves and the idea that love is not enough.

If Ginny and Kai survive the journey, will she still be the girl he loved–and moreover, will she still be the girl who loved him?

Jackson Pearce, author of the acclaimed SISTERS RED and FATHOMLESS, has returned with a unique vision of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen,” one about power and redemption, failure and hope, and the true meaning of strength.

  1. I agree with you, the new covers are still very nice. Personally I haven't tried any of Jackson's fairy tale retellings but I think it's time. Can't wait to read this one! Thanks for sharing :)

  8. I did like the old silhouette covers- especially Beastly but I also like the cracked glass and I think this cover would stand out to me if I happened across it whilst about my business :-)

  9. i actually really like this one. the fathomless cover was just kinda meh, and it seemed that they just kind of half-assed it. BUT that being said, it looks like they did take more consideration into this one. the mirror was well done, i think anyway.

  11. I haven't read any of the previous Fairytale Retellings books, Sisters Red, Sweetly and Fathomless in this series yet, but all 4 books have now been put on my book wishlist. I liked the original book covers, they were different and stood out on store book shelves, but I actually like this cover a LOT more!
