I have been looking for new fairy tale re-tellings, The Sweetest Spell sounds perfect! I'm so excited to hear more about it! and The Humming Room sounds very sweet, and looks awesome! I'm going to have to keep an eye on that one too, thanks! The Secret Garden is one of my favorite classics!

THE SWEETEST SPELL sounds really good and I'm looking fw to it. Can't wait to see your review during FTF! Ack, I still need to read my copy of DARKER STILL! I started thumbing through THE HUMMING ROOM at work this week, but didn't get far. I've had it on my list, and you make me want to read it more! (And yes, LOVE Jason Chan!!!)

I so want to read The Sweetest Spell! Now that you mention it, you're absolute right. There hasn't been an outright retelling for the Ugly Duckling and I'm not even completely familiar with the original story, so this sounds like a perfect way to get acquainted.
ReplyDeletewow, you REALLY did get a great deal on some of those books. I have a friend who's been whipping through the Fever series and she's got nothing but awesome things to say. And I love the artwork on The Humming Room. Did he also do the Theatre Illuminata series? they look similar! I've heard great things about this retelling, and, let's face it, most retellings ARE da bomb. Can't wait to read this!
