SELF-IMPOSED R&R: Week-long Read & Review -athon!

If you've seen my TBR for the month, you know I've got to do some major hardcore reading, followed by some major hardcore reviewing.  Fortunately I have a stretch of days off work coming up, so I'm taking full advantage and having a little self-imposed R&R - a read & review -athon!

Here's my stack of books I'm going to try to work through.  The bottom 3 are graphic novels, so I have "palate cleansers" in between some of the books (and to make me feel like I am getting somewhere with it all...).  The next 4 are books I've won, been gifted or recieved for review and want to have reviews of posted soon.  Jellicoe Road is a peer-pressure book, and Perchance to Dream is my current read that I am almost done with but totally counting.

I haz a blurry

So. This R&R-athon will run from today through next Friday. I do work a couple of days in between, so there will be days where not a lot happens, but I'm hoping to make it through this stack and maybe even into another book or two... We'll see how that goes.

I'll be updating my progress on Twitter (you can find me here) with the hashtag #RRathon, and updating occasionally here as well.

If any of you are in need of a some serious R&R (reading and reviewing), feel free to join me by posting or tweeting with the hashtag!

  1. I'd love to join (in need of some read-a-thon time to catch up on the TBR stack myself), but homework calls...

Good luck with your reading! I hope you enjoy All These Things I've Done - I read it a week or two ago and thought it was a fun read.

  2. You will not be disappointed with Jellicoe Road. It really was one of the best books I have read in my whole life. Have fun with your read/review-a-thon.

  4. I liked Between the Sea and Sky. Then again, I haven't read a mermaid book that I haven't like. They could be vampire mermaids and I would still love it. (I might be on to something there...)

  5. Good luck with your R&R. I am in need of some myself but will have to wait until the end of the month when I get some days off.

I do need to get a copy of Jellicoe Road, since it's been highly recommended by quite a few people that I follow. Too bad Borders didn't have a copy :(

  6. What a great idea! I need to do something similar myself, though this week is a bit busy for me. I just received Jellicoe Road and I plan on reading it this week too!

  7. Love how you use graphic novels as "palette cleansers"! I do the same thing. :)
