Read-a-Thon & Review-a-Thon

I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the Read-a-Thon that's going on (hosted by Kate of the Neverending Shelf), but I have via affliate-Kristen, who's participating.
And though I don't have a ton of time to participate, yesterday's event caught my eye and I decided I really shoudl particpate -- it's a Review-a-Thon, and I am woefully behind in my reviews. And it looks like that may continue. I made a list last night of things I need to read and review in the coming months, and the list was Santa's Naughty scroll. It just kept growing...
Anyway, the Review-a-Thon is hosted by Red House Books, who wants everyone to at least get a plan together -- get your ducks in order, at least, and go from there.

So here's my list of books I've read and need to review:
  1. Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder
  2. Magic Under Glass by Jaclyn Dolamore
  3. Changeless by Gail Carriger
  4. I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder
  5. Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev
  6. Alanna: the First Adventure by Tamora Pierce
  7. In the Hands of the Goddess by Tamora Pierce
  8. Woman Who Rides Like a Man by Tamora Pierce
  9. Lioness Rampant by Tamora Pierce
  10. Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse
  11. According to Jane by Marilyn Brant
And here's the list of books I NEED to read and review, so I am going to take a crack at them for the Read-a-Thon:
  1. A Certain Slant of Light (book club reread)
  2. Sunshine (book club reread)
  3. Thirteen Reasons Why (Wild Things challenge)
  4. Sorcery and Cecelia (WT challenge)
  5. Fun Home (WTC)
  6. The Beguilers (WTC)
  7. A little Wanting Song (WTC)
  8. If I Stay (WTC)
  9. How I Live Now (WTC)
  10. plus some others, if I get to them, but those are the WTCs I want to read most
  11. Iron King
  12. Iron Daughter (for review)
  13. First Daughter (currently reading)
  14. Last Snow
  15. Zan Gah books 1 & 2
  16. Skin and Bones
  17. Polar Bear Alpha
  18. Be the Noodle
  19. Virginia
  20. Vampire Theory
  21. a ton of Jane books
  22. about 1/2 doz kids books
So. Yeah.
No, I don't plan to read all of those during the course of the Read-a-Thon. This is just my list, and I want to be able to scratch some of them off. Through out the week, I'll likely spend 15-20 hours (I have today and 1/2 of tomorrow off! Yay!) total on the various a-Thons.
The goal is to write at least 3 of my reviews today, + make a decent dent in a couple of the books. The rest of the reviews will be a bit more spread out, but hopefully I can have the list down to just a couple by the end of next week, as well as wearing away at the book list.
Wish me luck!

  4. I'm completely biased. But watch this video and you might bump "Be the Noodle" higher up on your list. http://www.youtube.com/user/BeTheNoodle?feature=mhw5

    Did I say I'm biased?

    Warm regards,

  5. :D The list was no indication of ranking order, it was just the order I thought of the books in. Be the Noodle is coming fairly soon. Promise. ;p
